My family has a private beach and the only time you like it is when youre a kid, because theres a bunch of dirty things in the ocean. And who the fuck just lies in the sand? That has absolutely no purpose.

I get people who have never seen the ocean before would be fascinated by it and try to swim in it though.

I grew up isolated with a giant inground pool so my family never went to the beach. I live next to a beach as an adult and I love it so much. I will even go by myself and bring a blanket, a chair, a cooler and just swim until I'm tired then go on my blanket, have a snack and relax. It's really nice but not as crowded as that picture. I don't socialize. I just like the beach

That does look hellish. I live near tons of small/medium sized beaches, with cheap bars and public drinking allowed. I like to sit in the shade and smoke weed and get drunk and enjoy the cool water.

The sun on my skin is pleasant. The ocean is nice and cooling, when the sun makes it too hot. Shout I wish to stimulate my muscles I can go for a swim when I desire to cool down, and for a walk when I desire to warm up.
The ocean floor may have interesting creatures, or a beautiful landscape. So could the land the beach is attached to.
The beach is full of people. New people are always interesting the first two weeks. Some of them may be the kind of people interesting after two weeks too. I'm trying to learn to read people's personality type based on body language so I can tell who will be interesting in the long run too. The beach is also a great place to interact with the opposite sex.
Should all this tire me, I can fish out my phone. Its screen is usable in sunlight. I can shit post on 4chan, or read a book.

I go so I can stare at almost naked girls as they walk by. Its kinda fun once in a while
