A lot of the negative stereotypes about Indians are magnified due to the large population of internet users.

I remember using internet in 2010, when there were much fewer Indians with internet access. I experienced no racism, and was comfortable saying that I was Indian. Nowadays almost 90 percent of the time I face some kind of racism so I feel afraid to even say I am Indian. And it's not just the White countries who hate us. MENA and SEA countries hate us even more.

The Indian immigrants' behaviour in the West is also very bad. It's difficult to claim that the racism is coming out of thin air or just because of skin colour, or because Westerners are "jealous" of Indians. Honestly they just hate us because most of us are badly behaved and unhygienic.

I try not to have negative feelings towards people bad on their ethnicity, etc. But in general I think it's spurred on by the large Indian diaspora and people feel like there's too many Indians in their country. There's also way too many in IT and they've driven western citizens out of decent jobs as a result. The memes and videos about them eating/bathing in shit are incredibly bizarre though and makes it hard to detach that from the identity once you've seen it. But anyone who says it's a result of jealousy is having the biggest cope of their life, like holy shit that isn't even remotely true.

I'll be honest, I've never felt an ounce of hatred towards me from anyone for my race growing up. Probably because I grew up in London where the white British basically don't exist.
