>brother left some of his weights on the garage floor
>go to move them
>literally can't budge them at all with all my strength
>he walks in, casually picks them up with one hand and puts them on a shelf
He doesn't even look fit, in fact he's built like a twig. Are guys just THAT much stronger?
How the fuck are they that strong without it showing at all?
It's so unfair. I do lift weights but the most I'll be able to get to is half the strength of an untrained man.
>>81562901 (OP)That's called biology. Now imagine if he lifted enough that it physically shows. Then you get why we have separate sports.
OP is pretending to be a girl again!!!!!
>>81562901 (OP)Height is a much larger factor in strength than most people think same with body weight. It's why the weakest guys are skinny short guys, who often have equivalent female weight/height.
>>81562901 (OP)>Are guys just THAT much stronger?unironically yeah. was kind of weird to realize as a skinny guy that most foids are so much weaker. i always thought id lose in a fight against a girl but then my friends would tell me about how their girlfriends would struggle to bench even the bar, was eye opening
Male athlete muscles are over twice as strong, however the effect is reduced by body weight, so men are only about 5% faster in the 100 meter sprint. For ordinary people men are 30% to 5% stronger, deadlifting 150 lbs as opposed to a top male athlete hitting 1000 lbs or female hitting 600 lbs, in other words if a young woman trains to even just 33% of the level of a top athlete she will become significantly stronger than ordinary older men or very lazy fat men.

>>81562965What blew my mind is my mom struggled lifting heavy stuff in a move. She works out and left weights and I'm just some retard who sits on my ass all day sure she had me beat in Stamina but when it kept to heavy stuff whatever I picked up was a struggle for her. Injust couldn't believe it and thought she was faking.
>>81563076reminds me of the feeling when my mom needs me to get stuff off the cabinet or top shelf. shes 5'4 and im 6'2, its effortless for me to get things from up there but she cant reach up there without a stool. not that i dont know that, its just odd being reminded not everyone interacts with things in the way i do.
>>81562901 (OP)We have better skeletons. Having wider shoulders substantially helps even if you aren't muscular.
>>81563076what got me was when my sister, who is 5'1 and two years older than me, tried roughhousing for the first time in a while when i was like 13. At the time I was still only like 5'5 and it was an absolute cakewalk to overpower her. Felt a little surreal to realize I was gaining man strength in real time
>>81562901 (OP)Wait, I heard this one before -_-

>>81562901 (OP)Men are biologically structured differently, and have both greater inclinations for muscle mass over fat (bodyfat percentage; think women's tits, thighs/ass, etc). They have the hormonal background to support easier muscle building, eat more to support their greater mass, and culturally, most people expect it of men to be strong, so they take more opportunities to use their strength, further reinforcing it. Even most 'fit' women aren't going to be so strong in terms of raw strength, but perhaps in terms of endurance/stamina and flexibility (lighter loads, lower-body exercise focus, a lot of light cardio prevalent, etc). Men will always be stronger by default. Doesn't mean there aren't respectably strong and even formidable women, but even roiding only gets them so far to a biological peak.
akhshually this just proves men are beasts of burden and women exist to do the thinking
>>81562901 (OP)The tradeoff is that women live longer. Once a man turns 40 years old his heart can randomly detonate for no reason.
>>81563076Mine couldn't lift an empty butane cylinder and asked me for help.
It made me feel strong
It's kind of crazy how hard gaining weight is, but noobgains let you put surprising numbers up. I hit 3pl8 squat but barely gained anything, hungry skeleton but I was lifting more than fat guys. Bigger is almost always better, but I've seen a few others like me that were skinny but were doing more than fat guys. Not just dips and chins, like full rom compounds. The difference between sexes means more than weight. Something like a top 10% in strength woman is going to be considerably weaker than an untrained man. You'd like to think male average height being 6' explains some of this compared to average woman being 5'6, but the average woman is also extremely fat, so pound for pound of bodyweight men and women weigh about the same so it's a valid comparison.
Skeletal muscle is multinucleated, which is interesting. A guy that did a 12wk cycle ten years ago will always be superior to the natty lifter. When nuclei divide in a muscle they are for life. Testosterone causes upregulation for androgen receptors so there is no tolerance like you might expect. The more test you have the more sensitive you are. Of course this is overlooking shbg and hpta, it's not infinite linear gains. But it's pretty amazing to think. They say roid gains are temporary, but truth is they are permanent as well as compounding. Low test modern men sitting around 750 still have many times what women get.
Mechanics doesn't explain this gap, but it is probably significant. A lot of people move suboptimally. It's not even something easy to read up on. I autistically searched for how to stand, gait analysis, super basic stuff. Apparently a lot of people can't even walk right. Muscles are what support the body. Bones are just there to provide hardness to the muscles squishness. But many seem to think the skeleton is our structural foundation. It's a backwards way of thinking. Joints are just leverage, muscle does everything. Injuries occur when people think they move by bones and ligaments.
>He doesn't even look fit, in fact he's built like a twig.
thats called being natty lol hollywood and social media fucked yall brains
I'm ready to unlock old man strength. My grandfather was a twig but he could manhandle just about anything. Working on a tractor I thought we'd roll up the single tire ramp things, chock, then work. To my surprise he tells me to get jack stands and picks the front end up and has me place them.
I've always hated being skinny, especially when learning how to hold a flashlight and get yelled at, important father son bonding ritual as old as time. But he'd always act like I was lazy when I couldn't just hulk smash some shit that he then struggled with to prove a point of how weak I am. Never mind the fact he struggled weighing twice what I did and he failed to slam dunk 360 noscope it like he said I should have been able to. I think I'm about caught up with my father nowadays, and he's always been pretty strong. But grandfather is a monster. I grab a breaker bar and he's just like no you got to hold your tongue just right or give it a grunt. Maybe all that lead boomers were exposed to isn't so bad. Carried bags of feed like we were stacking cotton balls. But he was slinging bales of hay. I'm stuck doing triple redundancy paper work, computer work, handwritten note explaining the computer and paperwork, then checking the triply redundant of the people before me. Print something out then fax it. It'd be one thing if I got old man smarts from doing this type of work, but it's braindead muh compliance, yeah that'd be nice but computers don't work like that. Except yes they do, one poindexter with a few scripts could lighten our burden by some 90%. The best I got was memorizing a sequence of keyboard shortcuts and clicking on screen zoomed out 80% and dual monitor. Autopilot for 45 minutes to do what should take five seconds if the system wasn't absolute shit.
>>81562901 (OP)>Are guys just THAT much stronger?Yes, why do you think troons in womens' sports is such a big deal?
>>81562901 (OP)A woman has to know Brazilian Jiu-jitsu or wrestling to have a chance against a man. If it's a fist fight then fogettaboutit.
>>81564878Not OP but that sounds very very hot.
>>81564936yes that's why I drew the b0ner
>>81562948Yep. I am 6'4 and look like an auschwitz prisoner twig yet can bench 225 for 3 sets of 5-8 reps. Meanwhile a manlet buddy of mine looks jacked but can only bench 200 for 1 set of 5 reps. Being a tall lanky guy is a blessing and a curse - you have the potential to be very strong, but you also look like a twig unless you dedicate yourself to stuffing your face constantly to put on weight
>>81563076>couldn't believe it and thought she was fakingYeah she was, it's called learned helplessness
