hello. I previously posted >>81542784

Since then, I've realized that the only thing stopping me from going to the city and getting started on a life that I want is myself.

Money is a problem, sure, but if I save up throughout the next year, I'm sure I'll have enough to pay for my loan and even pay for a few months of housing. Once I can get a job, it'll be continuous.

I'm going to become an english teacher maybe. Perhaps online.

I thought all this time, "since I live here, I'm stuck here" but I talked to my mother earlier and she said "me and your grandma are still strong. you don't have to take care of us yet. please chase your dreams while there is time."

thank you for giving me your advice anons. im going to spend the next year getting to a state where I can live in the city.

I'm not gonna be a fashionable girl or anything cool like that but at least I can go to karaoke, drink at the conbini, and eat chicken at midnight

All I would say is to try and get some employable skills or a job before permanently moving out there.

Thank you for your advice.

I was joking. I live in a city. You like fried chicken? Or korean bbq?
Fried chicken or some tenders with some hot sauce? Fantastic

Ah the classic one, was hoping for more interesting place like indonesia or something. Do you plan to emigrate to the West, or do you just want to try and get a city job and not pursue further education?

That's pretty cool. yakiniku (kbbq) is pretty popular so I like it too. But I prefer fried chicken honestly. it's my favourite.

I don't think I'd fit in the west too much. I'm very unaccustomed to western culture. even in vrchat I find the differences a little hard to naviagate. Isn't further education in the US really expensive?

Yeah, but i am in Europe - here it is only somewhat expensive for international students, but that is a common thing everywhere but it is not inaffordable. What would you say are the main cultural differences? I know Americans are very forward and open, but that is a very American thing imo instead of something Western.

What kind of asian are you?
What do you think living in a city is like?
I don't like kfc. It is the weakest fried chicken you'll have. Some fried chicken, some noodles, both of them spicy, maybe some beer. What more could you want?

I see. I think it's more the implicit song and dance of interpersonal relations that are incompatible. There are many rules and rituals that happen in asian cultures that simply do not exist in the west.
>>81565152
I think of living in a city as rubbing your hands together in the middle of the night with cup noodle on your table at the conbini while waiting for a friend to visit. I think stuff like that is very romantic and lovely. I like that the city is alive during evenings.
I'll talk more over discord maybe?

What genre? What are your favourite bands/musicians?
What are some games you enjoy? My favourites are yume nikki, hotline miami 1 and garry's mod. But I do not play as actively anymore.

pop rock. I liked kotaro oshio, sungha jung, guns and roses and rico blanco.

I like playing JRPGs. Mother 3 I finished recently, I loved it. Clair Obscur I enjoyed so much but haven't finished yet. I'm just really happy to live in a time with so much RPGs.

Based mom and grandma

Asia supposedly doesn't have the housing troubles western countries have so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

What part of asia.

Also
>I'm going to become an english teacher maybe
The JET program/English teacher that countries like Japan and Korea offer seem tempting but they actually suck. The pay, hours, social mobility is the anthesis of what most people think of when they dream of moving to a place like
Japan. Alot of western weebs/k-pop stans make the mistake of thinking working shit jobs will be easier in Japan and become jaded when it's actually harder to be paycheck to paycheck in a another country. That's the same no matter where you go though. It sounds like you are trying to do that just to be able to get out of the sticks so it will probably be an improvement/necessary step to take anyway I'm just giving you fair warning.
