not a femanon but my wife "breastfed" our daughter
I say breastfed in quotes because my daughter never figured out how to suck from a boob so my wife pumped many times a day for over a year
she would get sore on the boobs, best comparison is the soreness you get after doing pec fly

Interestingly enough, I don't really remember it all that much to be honest, probably because it was a routine that I was accustomed to and thus the experience never really stood out to me when I was actively still nursing, even at later ages. I think I just kept doing it because it was something familiar to me and I wasn't ready to stop yet for whatever reason, and my mother was willing to oblige since she was consistently having children and producing a lot of milk, even though I can't quite recall whether my continued breastfeeding was due to her insistence or my own exactly. Although, I do recall enjoying the warmth of breastfeeding and the taste too, since it's sweeter than cow milk, so that may have factored in as well.
