It's always the case, too. The worst question any stranger can ask is the cliche "what do you do for a living?" It seems innocent at first, but they ALWAYS want to do 2 things; first is to talk about what they do for a living. They don't actually give a fuck about your answer, so just make up the most fantastic thing. Second of course is to gauge how much money you make so they can judge if they're better than you or not. Now obviously it doesn't if you do make more than them because they'll conquer up some bullshit as to why your job & life still sucks ass compared to theirs.
