Most days it's just doing 1 thing that may take an hour then just sitting there for 7
I don't get paid enough for an apartment
I have a long shitty commute
Outside of work it's just waiting to go to work
This job provides no experience to do anything else
I'm just stuck here

I had a job like that and the bosses were visibly annoyed when I wasn't doing anything so I quit and became a NEET when they became passive agressive, honestly was a matter of time before they'd fire me but it's their own fault that their business is failing so there's no work to do.

Hell, back when it was so good you don't know how good it used to be ~10 years ago it was already nearly impossible to even change to an adjacent role since your new coworkers would often go faaaaaarrrrrr out of their way to use your old job against you to kick you out.
