I'm still too scared to drive on the highway. Going past 80 km/h is too fast to process information

Checks out for Euros. American highways are vast. Going 80 feels like the minimum on interstates.

there is unironically less information to process on the highway because it's just a long virtually straight line and everything relevant is moving relative to your speed and in the same direction

You'd think that but people on the highway make split second decisions and make everyone else have to deal with/navigate around. Idiots just slamming the brakes after realizing they going the wrong way or missed their exit, deciding to do a 3x lane change at 30 km/h or people who brake-signal-then immediately lane change in front of you while going above 70 km/h

used to drive like 120-150 every day to work in my early 20s. im lucky i never got in any accident. it should be much harder to get drivers licenses and the age limit should be 21 or something. i dont drive anymore and never will again. its just expensive and stressful

Highway is easy as fuck to drive on desu.

It is v scary

if im ever on the highway going somewhere i make sure it's in the wee hours of the night so that the amount of people around me is always less than what i can count on one hand
