Attractive men aren't even capable of that. If a man is handsome he would lack the desperation to stalk and care deeply about a girl. This is 100% wishful thinking. Only person who would do this is someone who gets ZERO attention from women and is desperate to get noticed so he picks a target to stalk.

Starting from his POV undermines it, I think.
It would make for a better experience if you start the game doing some misc. task (get to world building pleb) and only then we find out a seemingly minor character is actually the stalking love interest and the more the game goes on the more it becomes about his obsession with you.
Bonus points for setting up an interesting plot that gets completely left unaddressed because you've been kidnapped so who knows how it ends. The boss's daughter was having a tough time? How'd she do? Who knows you're in a basement lol
