It enabled women to go Chad-only and started the inceldom boom.
The sad thing is that it might have been useful, had it been more like the fag app they based it on, and had a grid with just a limited distance available.

i used instagram to know about irl functions where i meet people. i've bypassed needing to fight the hostile interface by bookmarking all the local accounts so i can open them all at once

i would not attempt that without at least 64 GB RAM

Yea which is why its so riduculous to say people are meeting online. They're badsically meeting through friends.

No what I expected was about 6-8 quality replies from men about the early days of tinder and why they liked it. I may not have been there but I know for a fact this blackpill shit wasn't started or at least taken off by then.
Also ALSO tgis comment doesn't even really engage with the post because its not like other sites are inherently less prone to women selecting for chad. Like a site where you can just browse profiles doesn't make her just want to click on ugly men.
So yea effort post over.

The novelty of it surely contributed to its initial popularity. It was a way to hook up without lifting a finger . Much like the good bulk of successful tech startups, once it got a good enough section of the market in a stranglehold, it had free reign to make it as dogshit a service as humanly possible to reduce margins. Needless to say, having this garbage not as an alternate avenue but THE MAIN way to meet a partner led to a severe cultural shift which in return made the app even worse. Pair that with everyone staying inside in 2020 and you have a disaster-grade social erosion and trash service.

you can pay once for lifetime and just see who has swiped you. it's worthwhile for anyone non-monogamous.

i haven't done it because i filter by the one thing i care about and swipe right on the handful users a week who have that attribute

otherwise i just meet people irl at various alt things

Yea thats probably it. I remember an app called yikyak that came out the same time. Looking back on it they may have been less destructive for society if it ever took off.
