How many robots here were raised religious? Are you still religious now? What happened?

I was raised very religiously, especially in my younger years. I'm at best superstitious now.

I was always a lot more questioning and introspective than the other kids, but I never found convincing answers no matter who I asked.
As I started reflecting the questions piled on until my stance was clear.

both grandads are/were imams
both parents were raised with the "if you don't read the Quran, you get the stick" mentality

guess something clicked in them after they got married so i wasn't raised as religious, but somehow along the way i got myself into religion and started researching on my own - held some heterodox views guess I went too far and they confronted me
this event made them change their views and I mine; I became less and less religious and they got way more religious

mom joined the local mosque and goes to every meeting and prayer events
i haven't stepped inside a mosque in like... 10 years

I hate Islam. Ex Muslim living in Britain. This country is going to shit very fast. My family ran from it but it followed us. I'm scared. I don't hate anyone. I don't want to be religious.
