You know they still make them, anon. $13 for 48 of them. https://www.walmart.com/ip/The-Twiddlers-Paper-Toy-Planes-48-Pcs-Flying-Foam-Airplane-Glider-Kit-In-12-Assorted-Designs-Kids-Birthday-Party-Supply-Goodie-Bag-Fillers-Classroom/131562678

No bombers or butterflies, though. I always preferred wooden gliders, though. They flew for much longer. You can pick the Guillows ones up from Ace for $1.00 each (I am sure made in China ones are cheaper as the Guillow ones are made in the USA).

That sounds quite comfy. I recently fixed up a LEGO set that is on display at the local library where I volunteer at. Truth be told, when I was growing up I preferred Erector sets/Meccano, but the current sets are not that good. I would buy Merkur from the Czech Republic.

Give me a few minutes, but I have a few saved on my mobile device including what I am working on right now. I am not good at taking pictures of anything other than nature, so bear with me.

I forgot to tell you that I have an entire bookmark repository on my desktop at home, but I do not have them saved on my laptop which I am posting with right now. I will say that in addition to Guillows for wood gliders, there is Dumas, Easy Built Models, Brodak, Dare and BMJR in the US, plus a ton of other companies in Europe, especially in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic (I cannot think of all of the foreign ones, but Hiesbok is a pretty large Czech company.

Yeah, I have always wondered if there were wooden Gliders of sorts that flew farther. Now I know!
>>81588904
Noted. I will look at them and buy one. I really liked them when I was a kid, so I'll buy a solid glider now that I have a lot of savings as an adult.

Really lovely. I am growing some tomatoes and peppers right now. Unfortunately, my climate means that I have difficulty growing a lot of vegetables and flowers. Though Hibiscus flowers would be easy to grow.

Do you mainly do 1/35 or 1/72? By the way, I have never built a kit from China before, am I missing out on anything?

Some hobbies are cheap, though. Why not get a roll of pennies from the bank, pick out the nice ones and then put the rest back into your account? Roles are $0.50 each. I used to get them growing up.

the way i see it is i exist in negative equity and must use my labor in order to make up the difference hence i am a literal slave and have no freedom until i can implicitly purchase it and emancipate myself
this intolerable yoke which burdens and chafes me is so unbareable that the thought of wasting even a penny gives me conniptions for every dime is an inch closer to freedom

occasionally i slip and waste a little money, although i am generally good
i could never dedicate a budget to a "hobby" unless that hobby paid dividends though
at times, i have contemplated assembling, customizing, painting, and selling warhammer figures because i enioyed them as a child and i was decent at it but idk if they would sell

obviously the price of the models wouls be passed onto the consumer
i would happily do it at cost but even gw paint is extortionate

would they though?
idk where to even sell them
ebay takes a massive cut

Use Vallejo paints, they are cheaper and very high quality. They have a Warhammer, Gundam and Model line, but they are all very similar.
It was supposed to say "That would", but I messed up as my laptop has predictive typing.

This is what holds me back. I have looked into wargames, though, specifically one called Hot War 1990, but I cannot get it because of sanctions (the game is produced in Russia and the people that I use to circumvent sanctions with does not stock the games). I was looking to buy it in the summer of 2022 having saved enough money by the time of the 2 day operation that is in its third year now.

I am also trying to see if anyone might be able to see if North Korea has model kits, it would be an interesting novelty, if so.

I did that well into my late 20s, although I also did it mainly with close friends so it was more of our version of a boomers Poker Night, but I can get what you mean. I can't imagine trying to go down to a game store now and playing a game with a rando
