I don't really case so long as they have an interesting dynamic with each other, so they might differ on at least one trait (age, height, race, whatever). or one could be a switch and one a sub. and there's something to be said for unity as well; like for FWBs I'd want them to be the same race as one of the harem girls so we could do stuff like group sex with two black girls and two white guys (me and a friend).

Ideally I wouldn't have a harem, but instead be a playboy/rake for whom the girls/relationships are temporary and there is no positiveness or ownership over them.

Otherwise, I don't care about race as much as I do about their psychology. If they're intelligent and well-behaved there's a lot else I can potentially overlook.
