Kek. Anyway, you have some good ideas, but the coomershit needs to go. I'll give you an example, /vp/ is, at all times, constantly full of coomer threads dedicated to some girl or another. All they do and have done for as long as they've existed is repost the same images over and over again and make braindead coomer posts about how they want to fuck the girl in some way. Then the thread dies after hitting bump limit, and they immediately make a new one. This shits up the board for everyone but a few retards who have flayed their dicks at this point.

You're talking about character threads/ waifu threads, which have existed since way before /vp/'s inception.

I just skimmed over the board and they seem to be few and far between.
I've counted 25 threads that can be generously described as "coomer" threads, which would amount to 16% of the catalog, which is relatively high, but /vp/ is not particularly fast and shares PPH with /mlp/.
I don't know how they'd be drowning out actual discussions.

30 by my count. I would classify all of these are coomer/lust provoking pointless threads from long experience with the board. The -day ones are particularly bad, they just slowly trudge along all week and then die, conveniently on the day they should be posted again, so they're always up, always the same images and dead conversation. Along with all the fucking generals (some of these are generals too). That's a full 20% of the board dedicated to threads that have been more or less permanently up for over a decade, along with all the other trash. /vp/'s been fucking dead forever, but the corpse would stink a little less without these.

I don't know what's so annoying about those threads. They seem to be keeping the board alive while taking up a minority of the board's space.
When I am on /v/, 95% of threads don't interest me at all, not because they follow a specific theme, but because there are too many games that I have no interest in.

A huge portion of the board dedicated to the same stagnant conversation for over a decade, how is that keeping anything alive? There's nothing wrong with a slow, comfy board where discussion is slower paced but there's actual discussion and high effort, original content.
