You're never too weak to dig yourself out.
Working out sucks ass for the first but, but after that you get Stockholm Syndrome and start to love it.

Anon you CAN do it.
I believe in you, you just have to push yourself to do things that you don't like or make you uncomfortable.

Last time I checked i was 300lbs but probably more now. I have tried but always fail. I am fine with exercise, just not able to curb my over-eating for some reason.

If you have to, I've heard ozempic or whatever it's called is good for curbing your hunger pangs.
You may not need to be on it longer than a year anyways, also log all the calories you take in so you can SEE just how much everything you consume is contributing - that will also push you to make better food choices.

you mean you have to do it for every single minute of every single day until you finally become healthy.

I work out 50-90 minutes 4x a week and it's fine.
I hated it at the start but now I feel infinitely less stressed out about shit.
I get that self defeatism is an r9k trait, but you can overcome.

I am 6"1 at least but would like to be around 200lbs. I was back in 2015-16 and felt great. I go for runs with my dad and it's good to have someone to be accountable to, but the diet holds me back a lot still. So it would be cool to have someone to keep me accountable with the diet too.

I have considered this but it is too expensive. I will try tracking calories though, I bet I am consuming over 5k per day at the moment.

I'm coming off some catastrophic injuries so I got fat in the interim. I'm on about 1500 calories of food a day for the next 8-ish weeks while doing my regular workouts.
Were you always overweight obese or was there a time when you were skinny/athletic?

I weigh 235 and i walked a mile to the gym, did a 20 minute cardio workout, sweated like a pig, then walked home last night, and I plan to do the same thing tonight and tomorrow. On thursday I have a meeting with a priest and we're going to put together a prayer to say at the start of my gym session to bless my workouts and fortify my determination to lose weight. Also the meeting is about getting me signed up for OCIA

The most important thing is to alter your diet. Ween yourself off of sugary drinks. Going cold turkey obviously hasn't worked for you. Just reduce it, then portion your drinks through out the day to suppress withdrawals. Then when you get over a hump reduce it more. Maybe learn a new recipe a month. By the end of the year you'll know a handful.

Wow sounds good, nice going anon. I hope I can do the same...I have always been a LITTLE fat but only became obese in 2018-19 when I moved out to go to college/university. I discovered I could order pizza with my student loan and got super fat from it. Back as a teen I was actually in good shape, despite sometimes eating junk still. Idk how I did it.

If you used to be in good shape/athletic then the second you get your diet in order and start moving the weight will absolutely start MELTING off of you.
My anecdote comes as an ex kickboxer - I had to have double foot surgery due to wear and tear on my feet, did them one at a time and rehab'd and lost a year and a bit.
Then I completely tore my knee to shreds when I went super lightheaded one day and passed out (I collapsed and my leg folded awkwardly under me)
Started exercising once that got rehabbed and was losing 5lbs a week.
