I haven't had a friend in 6 years, I'm not sure if I'm lonely. I kind of enjoy my quiet & peaceful life, though my lack of social skills have made me an outcast for those 6 years.

Having friends means letting people know you well enough to hurt you. I'd rather not deal with that.
