>>81615978 (OP)You can look at @channel positively because the conspiracies that are a part of that world have no bearing on your life. We're embroiled in our own political intrigue as passive observers (what else can we plebs do) but discussing it is less of an exploration of mystery and more threatening. E.g., the Satanic symbolism in the Vatican alternatively causes some people to be upset because they perceive it as an attack on their religion, while others perceive it as an attack on global liberalism.
There are a lot of mysteries IRL that are discussed here, but it's just not fun because unlike a visual novel, you are perceiving it from the perspective of someone who is enmeshed in it. If you could imagine, Okabe, Mayuri, Kurisu, Daru, etc., weren't feeling good about it either because the conspiracies affected them directly. Obviously they had more control so it felt less meaningless from their perspective, but nonetheless the very real implication of conspiracy caused them discomfort. The real benefit the S;G cast had over people IRL is a low level of politicism. "We" can't look at some conspiracy apolitically, "we" always frame it in terms of the "other" side being bad and "our" side being good, so it is no longer a gripping mystery but a political fight that is both existential and, as we are completely powerless, totally meaningless.
Unless you mean the random bantz then yeah, but that has more to do with the absolute terror that most people have in modern society of behaving authentically. Everything is performance.
