Why has the quality of posts on this website taken such a nosedive since about 2020? All my favorite hobbyist boards are in a state of absolute shambles and the general-purpose boards are all just /b/ from 2017 but worse nowadays. And modern-day /b/ is tragic. What initiated this?
>inb4 "4chan was never good"
This is a demoralist lie intended to permit the further degradation of this site's culture and reputation.

Israelis having access to this website is what makes its quality significantly decrease

I was forced to admit after having all goodwill towards this place exhausted that a laissez-faire community with a weak or insincere administration cannot work, at least not anymore.
The answer to your question is that 4chan has been gutted for its parts by various external forces on one end and plagued by long-term internal issues backed up over years on the other, and the moderation team has too little stock in the health of the site to do anything about it. It has been Facebook-ized.
I've mostly stayed on other places since the downtime, checking a few boards here about once every three weeks, and the difference in how transparent and in love with their project their teams are offers a stark contrast to everything I've quietly tolerated for years here.
Userbase size and average user demographics are not what makes 4chan a failure, and none are the lessons anyone with any thoughts about starting something new should take away. You must hold the place together under one culture, keep a tiny, accountable coalition that on the same page, and have the means to protect it from interference and abuse.

A single mod for r9k, that still is a popular board, would easily fix the board at least several hours per day
>>81616152I still can't believe that the usual fetish spam will stay up, the usual "hi I'm a fembot" Thread stay up (Actually that's our fault because you guys keep replying) but you would get banned for stupid small threads
