Yeah I get reactions like that but I think i've always interpreted them as negative.

Part of my growth this year is trying not to percieve reactions like girls whispering/giggling to each other when I look at them as bad.

There's this dorky fat latina chick at work, she's probably like 18, who has the most deadpan look all the time, but if I say a joke or something nonserious her face turns beet-red and she tries to hide a smile. In the past I think I would have thought she was laughing at me or embarassed by me.

I've realized huge part of how attraction works is self-perception. You may not actually be ugly or dumb but if you think you're ugly or dumb you'll show it and people will pick up on it and it will permeate every behavior you have.
