Sigh. Most people who take SSRIs do not become zombies.

If you are zombified, then your dose is too high. It should be that it brings down your depression down a few notches enough to help you work on your issues without the interference of those symptoms.

I usually use them as a crutch to get a job, you know, because they make you feel better for a little while and after they stop working (usually after a month or two) I just stop taking them

What are you doing after that? Are you implementing any CBT? Tolerance does build on SSRI's. So, when it stops working, you'll have to up your dose. You may need a longer acting medication as well. You may want to see if "depression" is really your diagnosis. A lot of research is coming out is showing that SSRI's are almost useless, and a lot of the "depression" and "anxiety" diagnoses are more symptoms of another disorder, and not the disorder itself. The problem is big pharma has that tight of a hold in the medical field and like to suppress this information. Also, doctors are so stuck in their ways that they refuse to acknowledge any changes.

after they stop working I just deal with my depression until I can't take it anymore and start taking them again (usually after almost a year) but when I do have a job at least it helps distract me even if the job itself usually makes me more miserable, at least I have money though.

"Just dealing" is not really helping yourself. You are in an endless loop, and you need to escape that. Otherwise, you'll keep doing what you're doing until the day you die. It's not healthy. Find more long term solutions. I know it's a meme (it truly is), but therapy could help you to at least talk it out to someone not judgmental and have someone to say:

>uh huh, that's interesting, go on.

You could get lucky and get that 10% that will actually help you by CBT with you. Another thing: exercise is medicine. Every time I look at new research, there's always a study that, when summarized says:

>Exercise: equal or more effective than medication

You just have to find the thing that works for you. Running releases our endocannbinoids. It's like free marijuana.

Just whatever you do: DO NOT EVER SAY YOU ARE GOING TO HARM YOURSELF. EVER. They can commit you to the psych ward for that.

I don't work out very often, I take walks in the morning but that's it, I mean sometimes I start working out but then lose motivation after a week.
>>81628447
I've gone to therapy before it really didn't help at all, I tried a couple of therapists and none of them worked, I don't understand how talking about my issues with a therapist is supposed to help.
>>81628509
yeah don't think I'm not aware of this, I've been aware of it for years but I can't escape it! I can't find the exit

When it makes you do a mass shooting please don't post about it here. We have poor enough optics as it is.
