It all makes sense when you realize the only people with the drive to join or make and upkeep a server are people with

>too uninteresting to actually use the first 2 for something greater than being cancer on the internet

Each and every time people with the above characteristics, lets call em Type B people, come in contact with Type notB people, the B gang will come on top. NO EXCEPTIONS. This social landscape you're observing now is the consequence of an overgrowth of Type B individuals, who've pushed and killed all genuine discourse.

That is not to say notB folks don't exist, just that you won't come across them often
