ok i am retarded and very bad at math i know this but i dont understand where the -1 comes from when we are looking at the limit from the left side :| is it because it is the left side so it will always be less than 1

Has been a while since i manually had to find out a derivative but why is the numerator 1/-1 (2-2)^(2/3) results in 0

oh fuck, i hated calculus and limits. somehow i managed to claw back an F letter grade of 60/100 on the first exam to an A- at the end of the semester with several 90+/100 scores.

never used it again in my life.

its because x -> 2- that means x is less than 2, so x-2 < 0 (in x->2+, x is greater than 2 so x-2 > 0)
then you have the cube root of a negative number, so its negative. The thing is, the -1 should appear after you solve the limit, not while you still have x but i think its just a notation thing

i may be wrong its been time since i solved a limit

zero chance you're not you're underage this crap is high school mathematics
at most you might be 20 in some garbage american college

why the heck did you crop the question you retard
write out the steps of what you're actually doing instead of just looking at the answer
you're correct that the minus shouldn't be there yet because the numerator is (x-2)^0 = 1 but the denominator is (x-2)^(1/3) ie (x-2)^(-1/3) as a numerator and x<2 - 2 < 0 so the result is 1/(cube root of a negative number) which must always be negative and obviously as x>2 this goes to 1/-0
youe dumbass teacher didn't want to write -0 though

its oki but remember when its limit it is never 2 almost approaches 2 but not 2 so like 1.999 or 2.001 idk i think

it's not that i just didn't see that from the first to second step both the numerator and divisor got divided by (x-2)^(2/3) and wondered where the 1 suddenly came from
