I don't know the answer to either question. I can tell you I grew up in a mansion, and then my parents moved out to build their own house. I would estimate that their net worth at this point is around ten million dollars. I'm sure we had less than that when I was a kid, especially because I was in third grade when 2008 happened, but it was still a lot of money.
>>81628242
>lake house
no
>will
Probably a lot. My mother has two other kids, my dad only has me, and my dad definitely only wants to give the money to me. My mom wants some to go to my sister but I think they've both disinherited my brother. I won't ask about the will because I think that's disrespectful.
>proof
I don't think there's any way I can really do this without doxxing myself. I'd post my own bank account but it's not that impressive, all the money is with my parents. But I don't think it should be too hard for you to take my word for it.
>>81628245
My parents were frequent restaurant-goers. We ate at fancy restaurants but we also ate at chain restaurants and sports bars and stuff like that. We never ate fast food, my mom liked fast food but my dad hates it. I had a reputation as an "adventurous" eater as a kid, and my dad loves food so he encouraged me to try many different kinds of food. I think I've eaten any food that's common in any cuisine plus many that are not.
When we didn't go out to eat, my dad cooked. He is quite a good cook and, although I don't think I realized it at the time, he clearly put thought into making sure I got proper nutrition. I gained a lot of weight when I moved away.

Honestly? Not really. There was definitely a time in my life that I hated how privileged I was compared to others, but I no longer feel this way. Obviously, there's the fact that I am not responsible for my wealth or their poverty. Further, now that I live in a major city with many homeless people, I lost the perception that they're victims. They're almost universally drug addicts who demand you give them money for nothing in return.
>>81628251
Yes and yes. I cannot for the life of me tell you why I am circumcised. We're not Jewish.
>>81628255
My parents do give me money, but I wouldn't call it haphazard. I never ask for money. When I graduated college they announced they would pay my rent out of the blue. This allowed me to live in an expensive apartment despite working a job that paid quite poorly. We've had that arrangement for the past two years, but over the summer I'm switching to a job that provides housing, so I won't need them to pay for anything or give me money anymore.

Envy consumes me, shit.
That was going to be my post but I thought about something better: you probably grew up around chads since you're rich, right? (in average rich people will have better genes and such), did you feel mogged in your school years or in college? By the way, when you see a poor chad, do you think you're superior to him, or looks are more important?

>grew up around Chads
I'm struggling to think of all that many Chads in my life. I guess that they were technically present in high school and college, but I was antisocial enough that I don't really remember many. I can think of like one or two. Most of the people I grew up with were just wealthy, not necessarily chadly. Lots of jews and jeets.
>poor chad
I don't think I'm superior to poor people. I often feel inferior to them, because they overcame hardship and do labor, which are things I am not very good at.

>I don't think I'm superior to poor people
It's not about opinions (I mean, it's but at the same time it isn't). Like, generally the value of a person is in the qualities/possessions she has and how rare and desired those characteristics are. Hard work is not scarce, so it is worthless in this world.

You have met a lot of people in your life, if you need to ask money for someone that you don't know that's because none of those people decided to place their trust in you. If people who know you don't trust you, why would OP? Kys, faggot.

>NEET or college?
I went to college. I studied the arts, though, which was retarded. My parents kind of pushed me to "follow my dreams" and really I don't know what the hell I was thinking. These days I'm trying to go to graduate school to work in educational policy instead.
>value of a person
Ah, I see what you mean. Well, by my value system, I am not superior to poor people, but I suppose to those who value wealth, then yeah, I would be more superior. I think I am probably slightly more attractive than the average betabuxx.

I've thought about it. I don't think I will ever submit myself to plastic surgery. I am currently considering taking test and weight loss drugs. I will be out of the country for a while soon, and I think that after that if I'm still overweight and the drugs are deemed safe/normal I will take them.

Do you think that your parents were trying to compensate you for something?
Also, when people from middle class or below study about story, they generally self-insert as peasants. Is that different for you? Would you say you see yourself in the nobles when you open a history book?

>trying to compensate you for something?
I'm not sure. In spite of some of the nice things I've said about them in this thread, my parents (particularly my mother) were somewhat abusive growing up. They have definitely mellowed out since I left home. However, I think the reason they were okay with me studying the arts is that they were so convinced I'd be successful no matter what that they didn't want to push me into doing something productive. Ironic, given that they pushed me into all sorts of other stuff as a kid.
>history question
No, I would have been a peasant in medieval times. My family is nouveau-riche. As few as three or four generations ago, we were pretty poor. I do see myself as a member of "high society" in modern times, though, in some ways.

I think that all parents get a little emotional when it happens lol. By the way, why do you think that your mother disinherited your brother?

Did your family start getting rich with your grandparents or your parents?

>why do you think that your mother disinherited your brother?
My brother refuses to talk to her and openly hates her.
>Did your family start getting rich with your grandparents or your parents?
I would say each generation was richer than the last. My great-grandparents and some of my grandparents were all either poor immigrants or white trash. The next generation after that managed to be at least middle class, and after that it was upper class. I'm kind of at the logical endpoint of that, I don't think there's much further we can go from here.
