>>81629208 (OP)Couple stages here.
>first stageShop around - get the lay of the land, so to speak. Try as many men as possible out in quick sequence to identify characteristics of the population.
>second stageStill rapid whoring, but with different intent. Now the focus is on deploying the criteria developed from the first stage's data on as many men as possible to find the optimal match. This is where the most grim "pump and dumping" happens - women find a man who meets their criteria from the first stage and get their hopes up, but he leaves her quickly.
>third stageCalibration from the results of the second stage, with the data from the first still in mind. This tends to be slower paced. We are approaching "the wall" here, this is late 20s by now, and the strategy is a kind of "K selection" mindset of focusing more effort on a smaller number of prospects, and now with a very robust dataset of how to select "good" men (ones who meet minimum criteria but will also stick around)
>fourth stageMany women will have hit a winner in the third or even second. If you make it to stage 4 you are dangerously close to rotten eggs wine aunt territory. This is where it gets nasty, and when they start posting on reddit about all the good men being gone etc. They also have to accept that their own value is dwindling, which is difficult in its own right but also essentially invalidates all the data gathered in stages 1 and 2. This is why stage 4 roasties often appear from the outside to be extremely delusional.
