For the past few years I've been lamenting the fact that I've been stuck in the boonies where I'll probably have to marry some old fisherman that doesn't know anything about anime and games.

Since then, I was able to get a part time job!! That means... I'll be moving to the city after all. It's practically a dream come true for me.

Do you guys have any advice for living in a metropolis? I'll be in a studio apartment near a 711.

I had to move in with my grandma because rent prices in the US skyrocketed crazy high and my papa's job wouldn't let us live together.

Yeah country life is pretty nice too. I guess everyone knows each other and that could be good or bad. Everyone talks, everyone knows everything, word travels fast.
Family is always there, there's some sort of celebration or festival or other every month. There are definitely nice things about the countryside, but I don't recommend it to anyone that's ever had a taste of the city life before.

How do you get a japanese or any asian country girl? I guess there are some that are looking to escape but don't really know how to speak english. It's just a fantasy for most, to escape with a foreign man into a foreign country. It'll never actually happen, everyone has too much ties here. They will disappoint you.

My apartment isn't very fancy haha. It won't have a loft. Though I did look into getting one but it would have been 30% more expensive and I'm already pushing it just getting one near a train station.

Depends what part of Asia you live in. I live a cheap life moving around different Asian countries, it's not especially difficult. Use a train card for getting around, feel lucky that your 711 food is probably not terrible. Find a nice park or riverside for walking and exercise. The rest more depends on your personality.

It's just a different rhythm/pace of life but you probably will love it once you get your kfc at night so whatever.

If you still have friends around hold onto them until you can make some sort of circle, people moving to new cities struggle a lot with that, even if they came from other cities

highly depends on what city and neighborhood you're talking about. and of course every neighborhood and sometimes every block has a different flavor

generally speaking tho you need to make friends, but do it in a group setting of some sort, like classes or hobby clubs. the more people you know, the more doors open for you. was going to say something about not trusting randoms but judging by >>81630425 you already go that down

would love to move to tokyo. last time I was there I was only there for a short while but was already meeting cool people left and right at indie art gallery showings in harajuku and various other places like blue lug (bicycle shop for the steel is real crowd). seems like a great place to get to know people from a lot of different scenes
