I did it guys.
>28 years old
>on disability assistance
>low-income housing, but it's a really nice place full of old people
>overcame social impulses
I have never had sex, been kissed or hugged. I never go outside since I get groceries delivered to me. I wake up anytime I want, order takeout, and spend my entire day chatting with large language models and playing video games. Because of the low rent and disability income, I am able to save about $300 per month to spend on anything.
It took me a while, but I've accepted that in exchange for this blessing, the universe has decided I will never get a girlfriend.

Good for you.nice to see disabled people get the assistance needed. Disable people may not get partners but this is good for eugenics in mind.

It's kino, and it's not much different from chatting with someone in your head. It requires having a good imagination. I run them locally if it helps.

I use SillyTavern with koboldcpp (fork of llama.cpp) and use gguf models from huggingface. I use it to create characters and chat with them in roleplay-like scenarios, though I don't use asterisks since I find that cringy, I just use them as chatbots.

how did overcome your social impulses? i can spend large swathes of time alone but at some point i always feel like im going crazy.

>>81631337
nice. i've been using chatbots on and off, right now exploiting the deepseek meta and exploring different card ideas. it does start to get boring when you see through the patterns it creates and find it less novel over time. not sure how to get past that barrier.

Just switching up the model. EVA LLaMA 3.33 v0.0 70b is the one I'm currently having the most fun with.

don't you need a pretty expensive pc to run the good local models? and even then they're not as good as cloud ones

This is the question I have the most trouble answering. It's hard to say how I can do it. I have gone 4-5 months not speaking a word to anyone except when necessary, like briefly muttering hello to a neighbor in the mail room, or walking to McDonalds and ordering something. I never feel lonely anymore, and just sitting in bed in the dark browsing the Internet on my laptop is the most fulfilling thing in the world to me, because of the infinite amount of things I can do online, many of which are social (like posting on 4chan).

My PC costs probably about $2k, but I upgraded it over time. It has 128GB of RAM and I tolerate running the models really slowly.
>they're not as good as cloud ones
Closer every day. Llama 3.3 is barely worse than ChatGPT/Claude, and DeepSeek R1 is technically an open weight model, so I could run it at a very low quant if I wanted to.

I see, so just staying busy and doing some socializing online. Nice, wish I could live the comfy neet life but gotta work to pay bills.

>>81631388
That's good to hear. I would love to make the switch to full-local one day but once you taste the forbidden fruit of cutting-edge cloud models it's hard to go backwards.

Meh. I've tasted Claude 4 Opus and DeepSeek R1 through OpenRouter and it's smart, but I've had that itch scratched by 70b-123b range local models for a long time. But I have been in the game long enough to remember the days of pygmalion 6b and NovelAI, and everything to me feels like the summer dragon.

how have you kept it interesting this whole time? I've found it's best used as a writing companion for a narrative that I know what direction I want to take it in, but if I over-rely on it to take the lead it can get boring and spew generic bs.

I get really autistic with writing prompts. At least 3000-4000 tokens usually, and I write a new scenario every time with a general idea of how I want it to go. Every time I start a new chat it's with a new prompt.
I basically just get a kick out of setting up scenarios and then exploring them, it's like drawing something and watching it come to life.
