I'm a physicist and a web developer, but I've never gotten a job. I apply but never land it.
A friend of mine gets every job he applies too. He barely has any education but he's confident and persuasive and I'm pretty sure that's why. He used to work as a telemarketer and he really has that pushy and manipulative personality down.
The joke is that I could do almost anything. My IQ and synaptic plasticity are at inhuman levels. Whatever you throw at me, I learn in seconds. Not just mental gymnastics, but physical stuff too. I learned to skateboard instantly without ever falling down because I'm good at breaking down movements into smaller parts and my control over my own body is at an autistic level.
There is absolutely no job I couldn't just start doing today, but I will never be enough for even floor mopping.
>anon you're thinking too highly of yourself
This is a natural counter response to you thinking too little of me if you think I can't mop floors but people with an IQ 50 points lower than me can. Besides, you're missing the point. The point is that our society has become anti-meritocratic. We reward those who have compensated for their lack of competence with a nice smile and """SoCiAL SKiLLz"""" (which is cope for low IQ people, not saying I dont have high social awareness because I do).
