I'm a physicist and a web developer, but I've never gotten a job. I apply but never land it.
A friend of mine gets every job he applies too. He barely has any education but he's confident and persuasive and I'm pretty sure that's why. He used to work as a telemarketer and he really has that pushy and manipulative personality down.

The joke is that I could do almost anything. My IQ and synaptic plasticity are at inhuman levels. Whatever you throw at me, I learn in seconds. Not just mental gymnastics, but physical stuff too. I learned to skateboard instantly without ever falling down because I'm good at breaking down movements into smaller parts and my control over my own body is at an autistic level.

There is absolutely no job I couldn't just start doing today, but I will never be enough for even floor mopping.

Companies and organisations arent just one guy building everything. Why would a company hire someone that is a dick and thinks theyre smarter than everyone else. My entire point is that getting a job is a very, very exclusive "musical chairs" type of situation. A zero sum game. It's a mathematical fact that 5-10% of the population will always be left out, and it's usually always the same individuals.

Capitalism isnt about you OP. As you are now learning. Capitalism does not let the cream of the crop rise to the top. Capitalism offers wages for vacancies that it creates and fills as it sees fit.

In a capitalist system if the employer class decides they have no use for you, then you have very little recourse. You cannot be a self made man you can only be what Capitalism allows you to be and if they opening isnt there you just dont get it.

I disagree, we need jobs, even if they are meme donothing jobs, just so we don't become degenerates, so that we don't end up with a hated class of "parasites". There is a human and societal need to have jobs. We could have a system where we divide roles among several people, instead of having 1 engineer working an 8 hour shift, we have 2 engineers working 4 hours shifts or 3 working days a week, or a lead engineer and 3 assistants working 2 or 3 hour shifts. That way everyone has a job and a place in society and the economy and a lot of free time.

Many employers select against intelligence. Their goal is to select someone with just enough mental horsepower to do the job, and no more. After that has been established, they will look for things like your capacity to be subservient. Having a family is another big one, as it makes you more likely to stick around as you have dependents you must provide for. Life isn't nearly as meritocratic as we were all led to believe.
