I'm unemployable, and I often make threads about this, because I feel that society owes me a job. It should be a human right, especially for people who have spent 10+ years in schools. I got a degree in both physics and electronics, yet I can't even land shitty job like sales, call center jobs, van driving, customer service etc.

Every time I make a thread about this, anon start telling me that x is my problem. X varies depending on what I post. If I seem cocky and frustrated (like in this post), anons say I have an attitude problem and I'm an asshole. Sometimes I try to sound humble and sadfrogg'y, and anons say I'm just too timid and jobs go to psychopath go-getters.
You guys are just grasping at straws, trying to come up with a rational reason for why I can't get a job. I claim there is none. Getting a job, just like getting a gf, is not a checklist thing where you're guaranteed to succeed if you complete x,y, and z.

I have a "friend" who has no education, yet he has never been unemployed. He has a really pushy and manipulative personality which is why we're no longer friends. I'm guessing this has something to do with the fact he lands every fucking sales / customer service job he applies too.
Anons will always tell me to get "social skills", but is this what you mean? The guy is pure game theory and narcissism. I've already heard that one customer has filed a complaint about him because he was too pushy.

I'm OP and I think this is true. Every time I've been interviewed, the interview was done by a 20yo smartphone zoomer girl. The recruiters are young women because they're nature's normality detectors. Basically they pick the applicant they'd have sex with, quite literally.
I mean, every applicant who gets interviewed is already qualified for the job, it's just a matter of some trivial and superficial process to choose the one who will get hired.

>society forces you to get an education for 18 years and provides the means which are schools
>when it comes time to get what actually matters which is a livelihood that puts bread on the table, whoops, you're a grown up now, you have to do that yourself, go find your own job, goy, and be at the mercy of capitalism and market forces like supply and demand.
>spent 4 years getting a degree like computer science which is now useless
>TOO BAD, BUCKO!!! should've learned a trade!

Yes, it is true. I have a masters in CS and I had difficulty getting entry level jobs for almost a year and a half, but I lost a lot of weight and gained a lot of muscle on my frame and started dressing better, updated my linkedin photo and started applying to jobs and I started getting offers after interviews. The world is super shallow, if you're an ugly man you need to be a god tier developer if you want a job in this market.

Haha what the fuck is that pic? Goddamn, fuck those guys. They'd be the first to behave in that manner if they were interested in the applicant.

This is so true.
When I was a kid, I always thought there was some kind of system to guarantee a job for everyone. It didn't make any sense to me that you're obligated to get a job but you also have to fight for it.

I hate it so much when these elitist assholes say this.
It's like a passive-aggressive way of saying "we dont want you, fuck off"

Tell me what do you actually do with your electronics degree? What exactly have you done with either of your degrees. Your degree means fuck all if you haven't actually done anything with them.

I didn't even get my degree yet and still got a few jobs. Hell was a research assistant for awhile. So again what is it you actually do?

Nothing, because I cant land jobb.

>So again what is it you actually do?
I run my own non-profit social media platform that I coded myself. I've written a 200-page book about why the Internet was a mistake on humanity. I play ice hockey and watch all the games of my home team. I'm currently making a 2d platformer game where I draw all the graphics myself. Every day I spend hours riding a mountain bike, enjoying the weather.
>Anon those are hobbies
No, this is what I do. What do you do?

Make shit up, I have no electronics degree and I prototyped small boards, fixed electronics aplenty and dabbled in integrated systems.
Add jargon to flavour it, what does the HR roastie know about PCB development and cracking into some oddball inkjet printer busybox Linux through the serial port? Probably sounds like black magic.
Cover all bases.

Woman and jeet recruiters have completely ruined the market for IT. They genuinely suck at selling your experience and don't know what the fuck they're doing.

I repair electronics circuit board level repairs. Electronics from power to digital. Do things like copy data from roms to repairing class D amps.

From time to time I do more analog electronics and I am looking into getting to radio communications ham radios even repairing and working on tube radios. Only done a little audio amplifier impedance matching mods which can be a bitch sometimes.

Honestly it really depends on what I need to do or what I am interested in but if I need to know it I pick it up especially if it is related to electronics.

Now what I don't see and this is assuming I you're OP but nothing I see there has anything to do with either of your degrees at all. All of what I do is heavily related to my degree my hobbies and my work plus carrier path.

This is what I mean. Like I already had hands.on experience being an autist doing these things on my own free time and I have a portfolio of it. So when I am in a place that gets me full of people which can get me opportunity, bam bam bam I got stuff showing I know what I am doing and have some training and use that those barely getting their degrees don't have.

Getting a degree doesn't instant mean you get a job. You believed the bandwagoning bullshit that every other moron pushed. Why cs kids are struggling they saturated the market with a bunch of degree holders that can barely script. You have to really shine through thay crap to even get an interview. But you can bypass a lot of that if you made friends with your stem instructors as they know people who could have gotten you a job.
