>you bought a house

Now you have to pay property taxes the rest of your life

>bought a car

Now you have to pay car insurance with it forever

>bought a pc

Now you have to pay monthly Internet subscriptions and other fees to enjoy it

Whats point of owning anything if you are just paying more money along with it. I feel trapped by my own belongings

Paying property taxes or car insurance is only a problem if you don't have an income. As long as you're working when young and then have social security and your 401k to draw from when you're retired making payments like that won't be an issue.

The only benefit of owning something is being able to do whatever the fuck you want with it. Thats it, thats the only benefit. You can do/get kitchen and bathroom remodels. Choose how your garden looks and paint the walls black and remove all the windows or add new ones. This is literally the only reason you should ever buy over rent.

Well other than renting is more expensive in the long term.

Yeah it fucking sucks but basically you just have to keep this in mind. If you want to buy a property to fuck off and live in the woods, you'll probably need 30x the actual cost to do it.

China is actually pretty cool in this regard as they don't have property taxes. Meaning you can request a peace of land to use as a home and its yours. You just have to pay tax on every profit from the land so if you grow food and sell the excess to a local market they'll tax you for that.
