Yeah, you're too old for that. Also I would like to remind you that you will never have a childhood friend gf. Its literally too late, you're not a child.
This is the most natural and strong relationship you could possible have. Think about it. In your developing years, time passes by slowly and everything is a new experience.
As time passes how much do you really know someone? If you met someone at 5 and grew up together you know them so well that even if you moved across the country at 20 you could meet up with them at 30 and you'd still know them. Vs meeting someone for the first time when you're both 25, they're pretty much strangers and even 5 years down the road you will never ever really know them. Not like you know your childhood friend. You'll never really be able to trust them. You didn't grow up with them, you don't know how they react to new things, under streess, you've never seen them grow, you don't know if they're lying either to you or to themselves about their past.
Its just sad. Our ancestors seriously fucked up when they decided arranged marriages were icky and they fucked up even worse when they decided it was funny to make fun of boys and girls becoming friends when they're young.
