Thinking of going to Romania to find a spouse. My spoken Romanian is meh, but I know enough to get around. I also considered Moldova/Belarus/Ukraine, but I thought it would be a better to get someone from the same ethnic background. Any advice on going to Romania or Eastern Europe for this purpose, i.e., meeting marriage-worthy girls?

You can get side-hoes anywhere. Getting a wife that won't fuck you over nowadays is going to be hard. The more similarities you share the more stable the marriage, so getting a wife from a completely different culture would be a bad idea. Best way to go about this would be to move to her country, learn her language and do your best to integrate. Cause the way I see it, getting a woman from a different country just to bring her back to the same cultural rot you want to avoid misses the point entirely.
