It's bizarre how much women hate good food. It's hopeless trying to teach one basic cooking skills. Crockpot or instapot slop is the best you'll ever get. I'm a luddite and don't even use microwave. I didn't realize it but apparently I was torturing my foid and punishing her when she couldn't cook. Truth is I just gave up trying to teach her the absolute basics, couldn't even get a mirepoix or roux down. So whatever, I'll just go back to my normal meals. Usually roasted vegetables, greens, or legumes, something starchy, and a seared meat or fish. It's my favorite food so I thought nothing of eating it every day. Foid doesn't like fried potatoes, too greasy. Too much butter in sauteed mushrooms, butter makes you fat(my physique begs to differ). How can you eat plain rice like that?? I'm so sick of meat every meal t_t.
Like wtf bitch, you saw my well stocked spice cabinet, and sometimes I cook the rice with a piece of kombu. It's koshihikari nippon brand nipponese rice. It's delicious by itself. Put some fish flakes, kizami nori, salt, msg, sugar, butter, whatever if you are really that offended by rice. It's not a meal without a big slab of meat.
So I flex a little and make red beans and rice, dialing it back to extra mild heat since midwesterners have the pallet of a child. Had to hunt for good sausage because despite everyone here being ugly like Germans and having ugly last names like Germans they don't eat sausage. Anyway she complained it was too hot and ugh you made that nasty rice again(it was actually an American medium grain this time). Everyone likes red beans and rice I thought but I guess not.
So I asked why she was so picky. I asked what the fuck she ate before she had me to cook good food. Apparently she lived off of fast food and instant microwave slop. I was curious about the rice and apparently her family grew up eating arsenic rice. Arsenic rice yoe cook like pasta, boil it in 10 times as much water as you'd use for good rice and strain
>>81655390Do you want someone to be rude to you instead? Useless foid

>>81655368 (OP)just cooked big slabs of meat without salt or spices
apparently that'd be worse than moidslop
>>81655936Which is more fun that what normalcuckolds can shit out even if tldr
I eat the same thing every day. For breakfast, four boiled eggs on a bed of spinach, and a Jersey milk coffee. For lunch, I get a Pad See Ew or Pad Thai from a food stall. Does me right.
>>81655368 (OP)I like guychow but I make my chilis with tofu crumbles and other plant based protein to reduce the amount of animal fats I consume for health reasons. Smoked tofu is a pretty good substitution for ground beef (at least taste wise) with zero cholesterol load. A nice side effect is that my poops are always bristol type 3..4 while being of the phantom variety or close to it. I've tried all kinds of dietary types out of curiosity and this plant based type seems to be best for my digestive system and is also very cost effective and easy to not mess up (ingredients don't turn bad as quickly).
I don't see myself turning vegan any time soon as I like to indulge occasionally eating unhealthy but tasty slop but I guess plant based food is an optimal staple diet.
>MoidslopIs this "depressed stoner diet"? Looks sus, I bet no-one eats like this.
>>81655368 (OP)I live off the human equivalent of dog food - powdered meal replacements.
It's better than living like the last one.
>>81655368 (OP)I like foidslop with a large portion of well-seasoned meat on the side, ratio of at least 1:1 foraged shit to meat, it's when I'm happiest.
>>81655585>6'3 with AGPjesus christ my nigga
whatever you do, do NOT watch anime or play Fallout New Vegas
>>81656419How long are you on that meal replacement diet? I tried a onions alternative for like two weeks (Mana) but I started to really crave food that needs chewing with a savory taste.
>>81655368 (OP)>no skill intense>lasagnakek
it's quite difficult to make it taste great
and lots of effort
most people just drain it in cheese so you don't actually taste anything
>>81655474>thinks "Food is generally incredibly overrated">but only eats highly engineered food to taste goodif you really thought food is overrated
you'd be eating boiled potatoes with eggs, nuts, seeds and some raw veggies for perfect nutrition
and NOT fucking ramen
I know people who try to make most of their diet vegetables and eat stuff like fake meat (onions protein chunks) and they always have awful bloating and digestive issues. I know if I told them they need to reduce this stuff and eat more meat and eggs and whole animal foods it would not be received well at all. No one likes being preached to. So we live in a world where we can't tell people how to improve their lives.
>>81656478NTA but I totally agree that ramen is absolute slop that's terrible for digestion with terrible nutritional value and minimal satiety. It's all around garbage and should only be eaten occasionally (if at all) as a snack while pimping it up with other ingredients like veggies and some protein to make a meal out of it. Ramen made from scratch is not as bad but the fried noodles in instant ramen are extremely terrible.
And don't get me started on the Samyang 3x garbage.
>>81656529I'm one of "these people" and I'm quite aware that these plant versions cause the BRAP but I have to watch my cholesterol so I can't eat too many animal proteins (that digest way better) without getting a tight feeling in my chest after meals. Yes, I'm that old.
>>81656568Vitamin C clears the arteries if you take like a gram a day in water
I'm a guy but went to chef/culinary school.
Cooking for myself is mostly like pan seared chicken breast, a green veg and a starch (Either white rice or a baked potato)
Sometimes I make up a large pot of pasta sauce and freeze it in portion sized amounts for when I feel like a quick spaghetti or wanna make meatballs and sauce.

>>81657473Thanks for this tip, anon! I'll check whether taking vitamin C improves things so I can again enjoy my beloved sous vide prepared eggos.
>>81655368 (OP)Foidslop is objectively superior. My go-to is arisinal crackers, garlic/herb spreadable cheese, some meat (salami or prociutto or sliced chorizo or biltong), and pickles. Occasionally some grapes.
i dont want to eat any of those
For me it's wifechow, I actually rarely prepare ground beef. That, or junk food. This one is easy and very good

>>81655368 (OP)Some plain freezer nuggies. This all looks disgusting and like it would give me diarrhea.
You guys think banana milkshake with coffee and oats count as moidslop or is it actually cool?
>>81656478>if you really thought food is overrated>you'd be eating boiled potatoes with eggs, nuts, seeds and some raw veggies for perfect nutrition>and NOT fucking ramenAs I posted, it's overrated. You don't need to eat all this shit. Neither for "perfect nutrition" nor for taste. Eat until you are saturated.
>>81658417Imagine not knowing the basics of nutrition. Enjoy your vitamin deficiencies, I hope you don't have the zinc shakes yet.
>>81658429Vitamin tablets just in case. Mostly because I never eat fish.
>>81655368 (OP)Wifechow or guychow.
My moid slop is just junk food like burgers and noodles, never any monstrous combinations like that.
>>81655368 (OP)Volcelmaxxing + not hating yourself leads to wifechow made by yourself whenever you want without any headaches
i'm a man who makes wifechow every night i might be gay who wants me
>>81658330I did just that a long time ago plus some whey protein powder and I almost died from the braps. It's kind of a nice way to ingest coffee (I put instant coffee into the blender) but it's not really a good option when you have to be around other people. I think even dogs wouldn't like to be around when the hammer drops.
>>81655407Beans and bread rock fuck twitter for insulting the brits over it. Bread rocks in general, one of the key pillars of civilization
Are there any good cooking books or tutorials for someone who can't cook anything besides eggs? I need strict instructions to follow because of my autism
I propose a fifth category: Sisterslop. It was a combination of Moidslop and Guychow made by my sister.. I miss her dearly.
>>81655368 (OP)Guychow since I like to make myself burritos, and if I get tired of burritos I sustain myself on mcdonalds burgers which technically is ground beef too.
>>81659683Speaking of eggs, are you familiar with sous vide preparation of eggs? It's similar to slow-cooking but with more control and eggs prepared at 68degrC for about an hour are very delicious, even without any salt/spices.
>strict instructionsWell, that's kind of a problem because the quality of the ingredients vary so cooking like a robot (without any feedback loop) might only result in dishes that are just "ok". I would just follow the recipe to know which ingredients go with what and vary ingredients while constantly tasting and adjusting accordingly. That's the fun thing about cooking, at least for me. It helps that I'm not a very picky eater, lel.
Sorry for not being very helpful but cooking is less Classical music and more Jazz.
>>81659683Soup is so ez to make you can't fuck it up if you tried.
Just throw vegetables, meat and some herbs into a pot with water and you'll have a soup in an hour.
>>81659899>can't fuck up soupIt's possible to ruin soup if one just randomly picks spices that don't work well together. Noobs should start with simple spices like black pepper / salt and be careful with pungent / strong spices that might not play well with some type of vegetables. The internet / yt is filled with recipes so finding something newby-friendly should be too difficult tho.
i just eat eggs, rice and ground beef mostly because i cant cook. every other week ill buy random things like avocadoes and tomatoes and just eat them for health reasons. idk what i'd enjoy the most, probably wifechow but i cant/dont want to cook
>>81659683Serious eats is pretty much the best option unless you specifically look for very very old books. But they can be a little obviously shilly and seo, so it's off putting at times.
Most recipes online are horrifically low in salt and fat. Ew yucky don't use msg instead use [thing with msg]. Whole foods is better so they are right, but for the wrong reasons. Comments section is especially painful.
>can I make this but substituting alpaca wool for the meat?>is sodium citrate the same thing as citric acid?>I followed the recipe but only half the amount of bell pepper and it was still so spicy my husband died I'm writing this from the icu because it gave my tongue 4th degree burns and my children have not stopped cryingRecipes are really of extremely limited use. Kind of helpful when you've never cooked before but it's a slow way of learning how things go together. On the nano scale cooking is best guided by feel. Where recipes are helpful is when feeding 100+ people, precise weights in grams and liters of each ingredient for control control, inventory management, and consistency. After you've eaten enough food you can run a mental simulation on a recipe and change it to suit your tastes. But eventually you're just throwing stuff together. You can't go wrong with meat, starch, vegetable, season with herbs and spices per your preference. Always add more salt, butter, and garlic.
