I've done part time work at a sports stadium and that definitely applies there. You get minimum wage and then tips on top of that. I've worked another job where the other applied. Even working those jobs I think tip culture has gotten out of hand. These aren't highly skilled jobs, and these places urge people to tip on even the most basic ass things like take out. All I'm doing is giving someone a bag of food and they're driving to the restaurant, that shit does not deserve a tip. That works a couple times but if you're a regular at a place waiters will give you shitty service,put your order in wrong by 'accident, not refill your drinks, let your food sit before braining it to you, stuff like that. In some cases the managers will 'talk' to you about it. Nothing still says you have to but the public expectations and shame are high.
