If you're not white or east asian, give up on monogamy.
Monogamy is a behavior that was genetically infused as a result of heavy winter. Heavy winter, where it snows, required long-term planning and delayed gratification from which monogamy came from.
Monogamy was necessary and those who developed it succeed in the long run, as a stable monogamous household allowed food to be safely stored and agriculture efficiently nurtured, and prevented issues such as jealousy, child abuse and other destructive behavior from arising.
Sexual restraint and careful selection prevailed in that environment. On the other hand, in tropical lands and land where there is no heavy winter, food and water have always been abundant and chasing sexual partners have always been a possibility at all times of the year.
Browns, blacks, natives, indians, and any population native to places with no snow, LITERALLY DO NOT HAVE THE GENES FOR MONOGAMY.
I'm brown. I have long accepted that monogamy is simply incomprehensible for my genes. I can rationalize it, I understand it perfectly and I know it is the superior mating strategy for humanity and for the individual, but my body simply can't process it as something good.
Asking a brown to be monogamous is like asking you to not be attracted to boobs or a pretty face. It's literally impossible. You can conceive it not being good for the sake of the argument, but your body, your inner voice, will NEVER be congruent with your rationalization.
