I've been playing League of Legends for almost a year now and I'm absolutely shit. I'm still in the lowest rank, Iron.

This makes me wonder what it would be like if I actually tried to talk to women somehow (not that I ever meet any). I would do so badly and not get any better and I would deluded myself into thinking there was progress.

LoL had an extremely hard and long learning curve. Took me 4 years to get Gold and 6 to hit platinum. And that was back in the old seasons before they added grandmaster/iron ranks.

I had a black guy in my HVAC class and he seemed normal. Spoke normally and everything, has a janitor job and kids. But he was so stupid he couldn't understand pressure temperature relationships. I'm sure its somewhat transferrable. I'm shit at most things I try until I reach an arbritrary hours played/practiced. With league I was awful like you for a while but I just kept playing 10 hours a day for a few months and then I got to platinum back in like season 9 or whatever season it was that Aurelion Sol released.

With driving it was the same too, I was a car crash waiting to happen but I just kept driving every day for like 4 weeks and then I got pretty good at some random point.
I'm sure the same will happen if I practiced talking to women but I just have no desire to put myself in that position. At least with league and driving, I can do those things alone but I will always be in a position to get embarrassed in front of a woman if I wanted to practice talking to them

In iron the way to get better is to 1 not kill chase 2 only kill to set up objectives 3 understand cs only matters for powerspike items and 4 buy wards every game.

Especially 1 and 2. That got me out of iron playing Khazix and Akali mainly. Also you are a worthless piece of shit at league TRUST ME you have to accept that you are always bad and winning doesn't matter only getting good or you won't climb. Memtal game. Mental stack.

You have to get coaching from very good players. I was Silver and got to Diamond within half a year after a challenger player coached me and told me exactly what to do. Have to mention I played Dota for 8 years before that though.

I played it from 2010 up until a few years ago and it gradually got worse over those years. They ripped the heart out of my champ pantheon. He was so instant in everything he did, before his rework. Only enjoyed master yi after that. 2010-2015 was definitely peak though, they got more ridiculous with their punishments after that that everyone gradually stopped using chat any more. Which was half the fun in the early years. I wasn't even 'toxic' but sometimes you could get into an argument with someone in chat and both trash talk each other and it was perfectly nice and enjoyable. Then they became stasi and you got chat restrictions (on bullshit I might add) which stacked up and eventually a permaban. Redditors were never interested and 4chan /v/ is equally cancerous since that place basically is reddit in the specimens that post their and their takes on things. I'm glad at least anons on /r9k/ realise how dogshit riot and their approach is. Selling to tencent was laughable, imagine making such a huge game and then selling it off like that. All their years of chat restrictions and virtue signalling, and for what they sell out to the most soulless highest bidder, the hypocrisy is off the charts. And I don't even have a problem with china or tencent, it's just the hypocrisy of Riot. I have a feeling if Tencent ran the game from the start the chat would be a lot more free than it is now, but liberal yanks have their fingers too deep into the game.

Most players in all ladders are basically zombie grinding, if you consciously grind 2000-3000 hours then you might end up a diamond or higher rank player. The problem is people fixate on the status and appearance of the game rather then the actual game itself. eSports becoming a "thing" and becoming popular with normalfags is what killed competitive gaming.
