There's a cool trick for avoiding all the fees and tips: go grab your food yourself.
I like when wagies chimp out about people paying for the service which employs them and tells people not to do that, like yeah, sure, ok, I'll take your advice :)
>>81663604 (OP)DoorDash is pretty based if you can afford it. I tip decently. I'm always worried about some serial killer or wagie having a mental break and poisoning or otherwise tampering with the food. Half the time, the restaurant workers don't do that tamper-proof thing where they staple the or tape the bag with company-branded tape.
>>81663604 (OP)damn that's crazy, if only money was somehow infinite
Tipping shouldn't be a thing but I kinda admire it in the countries that happen because it means you respect the job of service workers. They are awesome.
Tip beggars are all liars. They are paid at least minimum wage, if tips don't equal that the employer makes up the difference. One restaurant trialed paying $30/hr but to tips and the employees all threw a fit. Worlds easiest job but $30/hr isn't enough for them? They asked to go back to the old way of compensation. Turns out they make way more than $30/hr with tips, and they all cheat on their taxes and don't declare the tips, so they are actually doing quite well. The boohoo muh tips nonsense is just greedy pigs, little different than the greedy billionaires talking about how there's no qualified Americans so they have to build all their factories overseas and hire jeets and get government bailouts.
