>decided to go to a nice Korean resteraunt/merchandise store of a game I liked
>while planning the plane ticket and stuff, my parents saw me and decided to tag in in exchange of paying a part of my traveling fees
>this slowly snowballs from a little nerd trip into a full fledged family trip across 3 generations
>they were actually kind enough to give me one day of freetime just to visit the restaurant, they'd drop me near it and just lemme do my own thing
>have to deal with that shit now+IRL work+college stuff
>forgot I have to actually book the restaurant
>now, a few days before the trip, i remembered it
>open booking app
>shit, everything before september is autofilled with bots and fully booked to the brim
>I literally can't enter the fucking thing now
>I have no fucking idea what to do on that day since the resteraunt is in the middle of fucking nowhere and there's nothing fun in a 10km radius other then it
my entire family would be furious if they knew this is all for nothing......what should i fucking do?

>all for nothing
tell them you messed up and the restaurant's fully booked
offer to spend that day together with them, maybe go visit some other restaurant, visit a museum, a garden, etc.?

this thing got hyped up for like, one and a half month. They refers to it as "*my name*'s trip". I can't just tell them I am crawling back due to my own incompetence and making their carful arrangements go to waste.

Sometimes, you have to be direct about things. If they keep calling it "your trip," then stating that HamHam PangPang (pretty obvious which place you were talking about), the thing that this trip revolves around, is booked for months is a reasonable reason to cancel. It'd be like booking a trip to Orlando only to realize Disney World is full for that week. I will say that it may go over better to phrase it as having to reschedule rather than a full on cancelation.
