I should seriously stop using sites like 4chan and drastically reduce my time on sites like discord but my internet dopamine won't let me to. Help.

Hey anon... maybe, but just maybe try actually using them. You probably just scroll trough them mindlessly just as I do... but I know, once I find a topic that mildly interest me, that is when start a meaningful conversation. Just like this. On discord join drawing servers for scribble.io or Gartic Phone and even if yoh suck at drawing with mouse you will have a good time laughing at nonsensical drawings and improving your drawing skills. I don't know how to break addictions, I guess cravings are natural and part of you. But if you really want to try, read text from image from this reply. It isn't perfect but it helped me.

When 4chan was kill, I felt sad at first but then I was free. I beat my meant way less, spent almost zero time fucking around on the internet in general and spent all that time on vidya and my hobbies.

I would if I could. While I've managed to do that with many other time wasters sites (like forums and all social media besides twitter) I still can't manage that with 4chan and discord.

It's doable if you don't play anything newer than 2021. But since I do, I moved to dual-booting Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC (for pirated games and software) and Bazzite (for Steam games). 10 LTSC is almost as good as 7 once you tweak it a bit. Bazzite is amazing. It uses 3GB less RAM than Windows when gaming.

8/8.1 is also obsolete by now and kinda garbage. If you want to upgrade, I recommend 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC. It's got security support till 2032 and it's a decrapified version of 10 aimed at medical/enterprise computers. It doesn't get those annoying feature updates that tend to fuck things up. Only security updates.
Or if everything you do on your computers can be done on Linux, that would be the best option.
