I just dislike the dishonest "my body my choice" argument. If you were raped or if the pregnancy will kill you, that makes sense. You didn't choose to have sex, it's not fair for you to be forced to have a baby. If you're going to die from it, it's understandable to have that choice. It would appear that the difference is not that it is just a clump of cells, the difference is whether the woman wants the baby or not. If the woman wants the baby, it is a person and has human rights and gets to live. No one gets to kill it or that's murder. But if the woman does not want the baby, it's not a human and she can kill it and that's not murder.

The arguments do not hold up to logic, they are emotional. Women don't want to keep babies they don't want. That is the central issue.

I find this situation strange. As a guy, I believe that if a woman wants an abortion, she should have the right to choose. If someone doesn't want kids, they are unlikely to take care of a child when it's born, which could lead to a poor life for that child.

Additionally, people don't always use protection, so if a woman has the option to address an unintended pregnancy before it's too late, why not allow it? Many women may want an abortion if they become pregnant from a rape or if their circumstances are so difficult that they can barely take care of themselves.

I live in a third world country and often see homeless people with children. It frustrates me that they bring kids into the world when they can't even take care of themselves.
