i had 4 drill instructors, the whole platoon loved them all except one.
he was always very angry with us and punished us for the smallest mistake.
even when we beat the final hike to prove we were ready for service he disliked us and made fun of us and stuff i guess he was jaded.

well in my branch the drill instructors are tough and put us through alot, we have to be better than other platoons.
when we failed events they took us to the hot sand and punished us for hours infront of everybody.
at a certain point you earn their respect slowly(1 or 2 months)
they tell you stories teach you techniques from either fighting or shooting, they all have stories from deployments and stuff
this drill instructor never respected us and always looked at us like trash no matter how hard we worked kinda sucked
