I get the feeling. I used to spend more than an hour in hot water until my skin was soggy and wrinkled from the water. The solution came when I moved out into college dorms. The small heater only held 5 minutes of hot water for multiple rooms. The only way I could clean myself was to get up early and shower in under 3 minutes.
You obviously don't have the same situation, so my recommendations are to use the shower not the bathtub, and to set the water to cold when you want to get out.

I mean, your hygiene isn't that inefficient. 5 hours is a bit excessive, but I usually shower once daily for 10-15min, over half a month I would definitely be saving water and even some time.
