What does it mean to "connect" with someone? What does it mean to relate to another person?
It feels there is a barrier between myself and other people that cannot be broken. How does it feel to be close to someone, can you actually talk about anything with them? Does that exist?

Yes but it's rare. It's the expectation in all romantic relationships, which are also quite hard to obtain.
