The whole "age gap" debate is very western/white coded. The reason it's taken so seriously in white communities is because of how poorly the women age. In a lot of places, the women still look good into their 30s, but because of a diet of goyslop, partying, drinking, coke, casual sex, etc, it ages them and makes them look like shit.

It's a debate because western societies and their sphere of influence (most od the world) have more defined age roles than everyone else. Believe it or not even middle easter or central and south asians have such debates and taboos depending on their culture.
Most people are aware that it's a fringe thing and should not be a normal dynamic, people should get married before their mid 20's, the male being college aged and the female late highschool aged or college age as well. Any other dynamic is the result of sick rotten society and directly leads to hypergamy.
