Ugly people or unhygienic looking people is a symptom of trauma and bad behavioue. Take for example a fat fuck, it doesnt matter if its a man or a woman, you can see those people and mentally ill children in their personality because they lack the discipline, dignity and selfcontrol to care about their bodies, all of that due to trauma or mental illness in general, same as people who dont dress nicely or doesnr groom their beard or their hair. In the example of the fat fuck or the unhygienic person you also have to deal with their physical issues and diseases. Also, when you go to a psychiatrist or a psychologist, the first thing they check is if you are taking care of your grooming, because its a marker for a bad mental state, this is actually written on medic books. And especially in propaganda you don't merely present two arguments neutrally and let the observer decide by weighing the pros and cons of both before making an informed decision. Instead you leverage everything you can to persuade them to your side of the argument.

When people see, smell, touch, or hear something unpleasant it sets off a whole cascade of automatic responses that then get asociated with whatever else is happening at the moment.

This is also why people who are demonizing other humans always compare them to pests, vermin, diseases, parasites, and other icky things to trigger that association.

The flip side is when you want to make something seem appealing you present pleasant stimuli with it. A lot of beer commercials and so forth use sexy women to advertise their product so that you associate the two. You present ideas with a smart looking attractive speaker. and so forth.
