my nuclear family is going through a rough patch right now and since my extended family helps each other a lot, they've been helping mine too
personally am against nepotism/cronyism but it's just the nature of living in a 3rd world shithole, no?
my mom almost died once, her appointment took too long - the doctor in my family help sped it up and they bumped my mom's appointment to a few days later, turns out my mom's heart was failing and she was immediately rushed to emergency surgery
it's a priviledge to be sure, but it also irks me wrong knowing that when my mom took that appointment, someone else's mother probably died
