Did you misunderstand the Gospel story? Read the bible again. If you bother to read the bible it's pretty clear, the only reason Christian sects differ is that they find things other than the bible to take authority from (Catholics/orthodox = traditions, liberal Christians = cultural norms, Calvinists/ reformed = theology, even a lot of evangelical fundamentalists make this blunder, there are a lot of good one though.
