yeah literally almost every friend i had from school was an alcoholic at 20, we have like global top rate liquor stores per capita in my hometown, kinda bleak but i think alcoholism is pretty fucking funny to be honest

>destined to live in misery
not really, misery is just one's mind clouded by not seeing what gifts he has or had
take me right now for example, i'm in my house alone smoking cigarettes while listening to some tunes
for some anons, they'll focus on the alone part and think me miserable for being without company
for others, they'll focus on the house part because some of us are without houses
for a few, they'll focus on the cigarettes and feel disgusted by me for smoking

its all in one's own view of life

Yeah right, I've met some people through my life that seem fine, their lives are the homes they can get back to, they go through rough times sometimes yeah but they don't get destroyed by it, they always have a place to get back to.

I don't understand why that is so rare for me

Sometimes I think that my view of life is too broad for it's own good, there's always something good but at the same thing something bad and then more good but more bad and then just bad because this life operates on a state of constant energy loss and therefore from our point of view shit's always getting worse until it's not, or something like that, I don't know if you understand what I try to say, it's cool that you're "living in the moment" even if that moment is you smoking cigarettes while listening to some music

i understand exactly what you mean
>life operates on a state of constant energy loss and therefore from our point of view shit's always getting worse until it's not
push and pull, give and take, carrot and stick - on a fundamental level, its all the same

life is a dance, and maybe you're a good dancer and maybe you're not - what matters is to keep dancing; if you don't feel the rhythm of this particular music, move on and find someplace else to dance but again, what matters most is to keep dancing

Some people just have every hope of theirs ripped out through no fault of their own, or because of faults they cannot control.

It's been a good while since I took a good dance in the track, at this point my soul just tells me to sink a little bit deeper until the time is right to try and strive again, it's been a good while like that

this is fine, rest a while - even dancers need a break once in a while

but do not stay longer than you need, the dance must resume after a while

All you can do is try your best to improve yourself and not fall into trappings, but even then no one gives second chances or cares. So you fall into a state of learned helplessness, and your willpower fades until you remain hopelessly locked in place waiting for death.

Hah, came here hopeless posting and the classic dance metaphor gave me some hope, that's insane especially tonight
>>81697293
Yeah, I understand it from my perspective now if I look back to it, always helpless and all, but you're right, I'm not trying to improve myself right now, helpless and all but it's okay

not everyone. for instance, i just find everything so much cooler when drunk. more confident with women (even if i still fail to score), food tastes better, taking long walks is more enjoyable.

but for a good cause though.
if it werent for the sacrifice of millions of men, america wouldnt be as rich and prosperous as it is. think about it. america and saudi arabia have a lot of misserable people living the good grind and in turn have some of the richest people in history. its the best possible grind there is
