Thats how children reason about judging people. An adult can view people with enough nuance to understand that someone is still the same even if they are doing things you do or do not like.

Their superficial "goodness" comes at a great price.
It's not really goodness upon introspection.
It only works in superficial circumstances.
Turns out, they are just oddballs and weirdos.
And I hate them for ever influencing me. You can hold out for them but the disillusion eventually hits you like a wrecking ball with time.

Most normal people dont because normal people dont become that level of infatuated with people other than perhaps their spouse or their kids and only after theyve done something to earn it.
