For some reason, it never occurred to me that our brains vs normie brains function differently

I was talking to a friend, told him I was in the area, have some business here
was planning on catching the last train back home and i asked him "hey, how do i get to this, how much is the fare, etc."
he answered me well enough, then i told him "if i miss the last train i'll just sleep under a bridge for the night"
guy was shocked for some reason, like i said something outlandish
then he offered me to stay with him and i'm taken aback too, "yeah, why didn't i think of that?"

idk, its just something that popped up in my head
something to think about

This is the difference between neurotypicals and neurodivergents

Typicals or normies think with the consensus which originally was good as knowledge found to be useful became traditions and adhering to those traditions gave you status

You are divergent which means you have one or several mental disorders which make you immune to hive thinking
Therefore you can consider options that the normie would not
And no you cant have a different thought process and still be neurotypical all the great men of history would have been divergents

Having the ability to consider sleeping under a bridge instead of spending money is the foundation of being Napoleon you are correct
The rest is the circumstances falling into place

No neurotypicals will ever be great men or have ever been

>talking with a friend
Mm-hmm, sure!
Anyone who has friends should be deemed a normie from the get-go

How the fuck do you even maintain such thriving friendships?

>How the fuck do you even maintain such thriving friendships?
i don't
being friends with normies is mostly transactional - they want something i've got, i want something they've got

this particular friend, he wants me for my money because we used to go clubbing together and he's been begging me to take him with me whenever i decide to go again
me? i want to bang him lol

You will fit in with other neurodivergents with the same conditions
You might as well just ignore normies until you need them

I positioned myself as a friendly but unusual guy at work so the normies fragile egos arent harmed and therefore dont cause me any problems
I dont spend much energy on these interactions though and the conversations are just flowcharts in my brain

That is what has been described to me as having a dry sense of humor. As an autistic person I do not make facial expressions, intonations and gestures that normal people automatically exhibit when talking, which for me is more process of mentally constructing sentences in my head and manually speaking them out loud, something that takes up my entire attention span to do.

Yeah its more likely ADHD or similar because of the risk taking
Autists prob wouldnt like sleeping under a bridge because of the sensory overstimulation

i'm assuming i have to see a shrink and get an official diagnoses for this huh? it'll probably show up on my govt records and though it might be sealed, it *can* be revealed if the situation calls for it, yes?

huh, might just not get diagnosed and keep myself surprised
more fun that way

You can just Google the conditions and see what matches
There are official tests you can do for free for most of them that make things blindingly clear

Diagnosis is more if you need the support

The adhd test just asks you questions

Do you find it difficult to wait your turn
Do you forget where objects are when you put them down
Do you have problems with friendships and relationships
Do you find it difficult to maintain focus

Etc
It doesnt imply anything is wrong

Every brain works differently. You are a normie too, you're just used to being dramatic so you tried to make a self deprecating joke that didn't land.
