The whole puer aeternus thing is interesting enough. But I think there is a bit of a Barnum effect going on.
His community saw the video and the description and they thought "oh my god, that is literally me, this explains all my problems".
Arguably, that's the whole point of Jungian psychology, we have the archetypes deep within us all.
And it is interesting how online communities like Reddit, Twitter, and /r9k/ fall in to these same patterns.

The whole reveling in all these grandiose ideas about how society should be, politics, philosophy, greatness... and having nothing to show for it in their real lives.
Talking about great lives and how it will somehow happen TO them, rather than being something that is built up.
Alternating between feeling bitter and angry about their lot in life, and claiming that their lifestyle is a choice and some kind of philosophical statement against the world.

I think there is a very particular puer aeternis mindset when dealing with life's issues.
If you think back to the distant past, life was tough, survival was battle, and existence in general was shit. It was objectively worse. Yet when bad things happened, people could feel bad about it, and thats it. No extra baggage.
Compared to nowadays. Wages have stagnated and you can't buy a house. The pain you feel from that isn't just

there isn't only one incel with a single ill, there are millions with a number of benign or serious problems, which is the main reason why stagnation is present in these spaces and why observation is what we do most of the time.
